The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. I am a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and will fight to defend your right to own a gun and protect your family. The Second Amendment provides a check on tyrannical government and I will oppose any attempts to unconstitutionally take away the rights of law abiding citizens. 

 

We also need to address the gun violence plaguing our inner cities. The way to do this is to punish career criminals who commit crimes with guns and to deter career criminals from committing crimes in the first place. Not punish law abiding citizens with onerous, ineffective regulations.
