Energy

We need to be energy independent. This is imperative from a national security perspective as well as an economic point of view. We cannot be reliant on other countries for our energy. We have seen how Russia has leveraged Europe's reliance on them for gas and we cannot rely on Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, and Iran for our oil. Going forward we need to encourage the private sector to innovate in regards to renewable energy, especially in the nuclear sector.
